episode 32

Lately I've been talking a lot about the importance of resting, but at what point does "resting" turn into procrastinating. In today's episode we discuss the line between relaxing and avoiding. I don't think we procrastinate on our goals because we're lazy I think it's because we're avoiding a particular feeling; whether it's: fear of failure, fear or rejection, perfectionism, etc. Getting to the root of why you don't want to do something can help you identify whether you're actually procrastinating or genuinely tired and in need of rest.

In this episode I discuss

  • identifying the feeling your avoiding by procrastinating

  • the importance of rest and knowing when you need it

  • why we procrastinate and how to stop doing it

I often find myself needing a day off and then that day turns into a week and becomes avoidance rather than rest. I am all for taking time off when you need it but so often we say we don’t have energy to work towards our goals but we have the energy to do meaningless tasks, that’s procrastinating.

This episode will help teach you how to identify when you’re procrastinating, figuring out the root cause of it, what feeling your avoiding and how to get back on track to making strides towards your biggest goals.
